You will need: crepe-sateen; chiffon; lining; fusing; zipper.
Attention! Fabric consumption varies depending on the size of garment. First of all, print out paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric/ knit you plan to use, to see how much fabric you will need.
When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches- they must coincide.
Cutting :
Fabric:
1. Back part - 2 details
2. Back panel - 2 details
3. Front part - 1 folded detail
4. Front panel - 1 folded detail
Chiffon:
1. Back panel - 2 details
2. Front panel - 1 folded detail
Lining:
1. Back part - 2 details
2. Back panel - 2 details
3. Front part - 1 folded detail
4. Front panel - 1 folded detail
Fusing: apply the fusing of 4 cm (1-5/8") width to wrong side along edges of neckline and armhole of lining details (cut stripes according to edges. Press them coinciding line of stripe center and seam line).
Instructions:
1. Sew upper darts into fabric and lining, sew shoulder seam.
2. NECKLINE AND ARMHOLE. Pin lining to garment upper part right sides together, sew to edges of neckline and armholes. Turn dress upper part right side out: pull back parts through shoulder slits upwards. With the same seam, sew side seams into fabric and lining. Lay allowances of neckline and armhole under lining and topstitch lining on allowances close to the seam.
3. Sew darts into fabric, lining and chiffon panels. Tack chiffon panel wrong side on fabric panel right side, and work it our as one skirt. Sew back middle seam downwards from mark, sew side seams.
4. Sew fabric upper part of dress to fabric skirt; sew lining upper part to lining skirt; making notch front lower edge allowance (in fabric and lining) into front middle line. Press seam allowance upwards dress/lining.
5. Sew the zipper with its teeth hidden (do not catch lining). Fold lining under and sew it to zipper braid.
6. Sew dress hem. Sew lining hem 2 cm (3/4") shorter that garment one.
