You will need: natural/mixed fabric, chiffon, invisible zipper, bias tape.

Attention! Fabric consumption varies depending on the size of garment. First of all, print out paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric/ knit you plan to use, to see how much fabric you will need.

When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches- they must coincide.

Cutting:

Fabric:

1. Back part – 2 pieces
2. Front part – 2 pieces

Chiffon:

1. Back part – 2 pieces
2. Front part – 2 pieces
3. Sleeve_1 – 2 pieces
4. Sleeve_2 – 2 pieces
5. Sleeve_3 – 2 pieces

Instructions:

1. Stitch bust darts into fabric and chiffon pieces, press them downwards. Stitch front/band waist darts into fabric and chiffon pieces. Press front darts towards front center, press back darts towards back center.

2. Stitch middle front seam into fabric and chiffon, serge it and press it.

3. Stitch side/shoulder seams. Press side seams backwards (fabric and chiffon).

4. Lay both layers together and overstitch front/back neckline. Topstitch overstitching on dress inner layer at 0.2 cm (1/16") from overstitching seam.

5. Serge middle back edge (fabric and chiffon). Stitch middle seam up to closure notch. Press middle back seam apart pressing closure slit. Stitch the zipper into outer layer. Fold middle edge of inner dress and stitch it to allowance of outer dress at closure segment.

6. Serge sleeve hems (sleev_1, sleeve_2, sleeve_3) with roll stitch. Stitch sleeve seams (sleev_1, sleeve_2, sleeve_3) and serge them. Press sleeve seams. Lay sleeve one into another and fix them together along sleeve caps at 0.5 cm from edge.

7. Stitch sleeves into armholes according to notches.

8. Press the bias tape along the center and overstitch front neckline between notches leaving piping straps. Try the dress, adjust straps length and sew back ends on back part.

9. Serge dress hem (fabric and chiffon), fold it under and topstitch at 1.5 cm (5/8") from lower edge.
