You will need: cotton velvet/denim; lining; ready-made fringe; zipper.
Attention! Fabric consumption varies depending on the size of garment. First of all, print out paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric/ knit you plan to use, to see how much fabric you will need.
When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches- they must coincide.
Cutting
Fabric:
1. Front part - 1 detail
2. Back part - 2 details
3. Upper fringe - 1 detail
4. Lower front - 1 detail
Lining:
1. Front part - 1 detail
2. Back part - 2 details
Instructions
1. Serge upper/lower fringes long edges with "over-edge" stitch. Make easy-stitched seam along fringe center. Pull details to necessary size placing pleats along the length.
2. Mark auxiliary line for fringes on front part and pin fringes. Topstitch fringes on front part and remove pins.
3. Serge garment side edges. Stitch side seams and press them apart.
4. Serge back middle edge and stitch it to closure notch. Press middle back seam apart pressing closure slit. Sew the zipper inside.
5. Stitch lining details, and serge seams. Pres lining seams backwards. Serge back middle edge and stitch upwards closure notch.
6. Overstitch front/back necklines with lining, folding the fringe out. Overstitch front/back armholes with lining. Turn the lining into wrong side and press armholes and neckline. Topstitch along front/back necklines and along armholes at 0.5 cm (3/16") from edge.
7. Insert front shoulder straps into back straps between lining and fabric. Stitch shoulder edges and pull one out another.
8. Serge dress hem and lining hem, fold them under and topstitch. Press dress hem and lining hem.
