You will need: soft sheer (suitable for dresses) fabric; lining; zipper.

Attention! Fabric consumption varies depending on the size of garment. First of all, print out paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric/ knit you plan to use, to see how much fabric you will need.

When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches- they must coincide.

Cutting :

Fabric:

1. Back part - 2 details
2. Front part - 1 folded detail
3. Front panel - 1 folded detail
4. Back panel - 2 details
5. Strap - 2 details

Fusing:

1. Back part - 2 details
2. Front part - 1 folded detail
3. Front panel - 1 folded detail
4. Back panel - 2 details

Instructions:

Cut front panel and back panel diagonally.

Let the dress hang during a day, and them mark new hem line.

Sew darts, press depths flat.

Sew side seams and sew the skirt to dress upper part.

Sew middle seam from lower edge to closure mark. Sew the zipper in.

Fold strap along the center, wrong side out, stitch along long edge, then turn right side out and press. Tack front ends under front upper corners.

Sew fabric/lining dart and seams.

Fold fabric dress and lining right sides together. Fold allowance of back middle edge stopping 5 mm (3/16") before zipper edge and pit it to neckline.

Fold allowances of fabric closure into right side. Overstitch armholes and neckline catching front ends of straps. Fold lining into wrong side and sew to zipper braid and waistline seam allowance.

Try the dress, fit strap length and sew back ends to back upper corners.

Press the hem into wrong side and sew by hand. Sew lining hem 1.5 cm (5/8") shorter than garment one.
