Instructions:

Advice on how to process with sequin fabric.

Before sewing seams, remove sequins on seam allowance up to seam lines. Reinforce sequins near seam line with one or two stitches to prevent their unpicking. We also advice you to set special sewing machine foot to sew the zipper, so that the foot goes along seam allowance where sequins are unpicked. You can also sew these seams by hand, with close back stitches; in this case, you do not need to unpick sequins.

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of upper back part, side upper front part, middle upper front part, back strap, front strap.

2. Stitch upper front princess seams. Stitch upper back parts to upper front parts.

3. Stitch lining details. Lay the lining on fabric details right sides together and stitch them together along font neckline edge. Fold the lining out and topstitch it on allowance at 1 mm from seam. Press the neckline, tack the lining details to fabric ones along edges.

4. Press bias tape along the center right sides out. Unfold the bias tape, fold edges towards the bend (on wrong side); fold the tape along this bend. Cut dress upper edge allowance and armhole allowances to 0.5 cm (3/16"). Insert upper edges into ready neckline edging and topstitch at 1 mm (1/16") from lower bend.

5. Stitch back straps and front straps in pairs. Stitch outer straps to garment upper part along middle upper back/front parts to the mark. Stitch inner straps to outer ones along outer edge and strap end up to the mark. Cut allowance, cut corners diagonally, make several slashes into seam allowance at roundings, perpendicular to seam; stop slashing at 1 mm (1/16"). Turn straps right side out. Fold the rest segment of strap under and topstitch it along joining seam (right side). Press the strap.

6. Lay right upper front part on the left one coinciding middle lines, and tack them together along lower edge.

7. Stitch middle back edge into lower parts leaving a slit for zipper. Stitch back/front princess seams, leave a slit into left front princess seam. Stitch side seams.

8. Stitch dress lower part to upper one.

9. Press closure allowance into wrong side. Stitch the zipper folding braid's upper corners to hide teeth.

10. Press slit allowance into wrong side. Serge hem allowance, press it into wrong side and sew with blind stitches.

11. Sew buttons to right straps according to button loops.
