You will need: woolen or velour fabric for coat; fusible interlining, 8 buttons, and raglan shoulder pads.

Attention! Fabric consumption varies depending on the size of garment. First of all, print out paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric/ knit you plan to use, to see how much fabric you will need.

When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches- they must coincide.

Cutting:

Coat Fabric:

Back – 1 piece with fold
Front – 2 pieces
Front Sleeve – 2 pieces
Back Sleeve – 2 pieces
Front Facing – 2 pieces
Lay-Down Collar - 2 pieces with fold
Back Neck Facing – 1 piece with fold

Lining:

Back – 1 piece with fold with Back Neck Facing area removed
Front – 2 pieces with Front Facing area removed
Front Sleeve – 2 pieces
Back Sleeve – 2 pieces

Fusible Interfacing: fuse interfacing to Front Facings, Collars, Back Neck Facing, Welts (pocket facings), hem allowances.

Instructions:

1. Make vertical seams of Back and Back Sleeve. Press seam allowances to Back and topstitch the seams at Back.

2. Sew Front Sleeves to Fronts. Press seam allowances to Front. Topstitch the seam at Fronts.

3. Sew shoulder and top sleeve seams.

4. Sew lower Collar into coat neckline. Sew Front Facings to Back Neck Facing at shoulders. Sew upper Collar piece into neckline of Front Facings and Back Neck Facing.

5. Place Front Facings face-to-face to Fronts and pin at center front. Pin outer edges of lower and upper Collars. Sew the front edge all the way along Fronts and Collar, from hem to hem. Press open seam allowances. Baste seam allowances of Inner Collar and Back Neck Facing.

6. Sew side seams and under-sleeve seams. Hem the coat. Sew front facings to coat hemming.

7. Hem the sleeves.

8. Attach shoulder pads.

9. Sew together pieces of lining. Sew lining to inside edges of Front Facings and Back Neck Facing. Hem the lining.

10. Make buttonholes at the right Front. Sew buttons onto left Front.
